Spring Forward
The cedar waxwings arrived several weeks earlier than usual, and already seem to be mobilizing to continue their move north.

Cold Snap
Every February the cedar waxwings arrive. They eat berries and rest up before heading north. Perhaps because it has been so warm, they came early this year, and are probably very bewildered right now. But the sun is warming everything up and temperatures should improve tomorrow.

Turtle in a Tree
Obviously this little guy climbed there when the water was higher. Looks like the Spanish moss is in better focus than the turtle, still learning how to use this camera.

Sea Turtle Returns to the Sea
She had been wounded by a shark, and is missing much of her right front flipper.
But the rehabilitation people deemed her okay to return to her home.
There was a bit of excitement when a 4 foot black tip shark was seen thrashing around in the exact spot where the turtles had been being released, but everyone appeared to be all right.
